The Danish United Nations Association organized a workshop for trainers in human rights education from 4 to 12 January 2012. The training was attended by 19 participants representing various non-governmental organisations from across Europe, with three delegates from each of the six countries represented (Denmark, Estonia, Croatia, Poland, Romania and Turkey.)

Zagreb, 25 January 2012 – The third UN Academy programme started today at the premises of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MFEA). The UN Academy is organised for the third year in a row by the Croatian United Nations Association and the Diplomatic Academy of the MFEA, with the support the U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Croatia. This year's UN Academy cycle was opened by Ms Ana Brnčić, Vice-president of the United Nations Association, Mr Mladen Andrlić, the Head of the Diplomatic Academy of the MFEA and Ms Sita Sonty, Assistant to the Public Affairs Officer from the U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Croatia.

Report on the participation of a member of the Croatian United Nations Association (CUNA) and a member of the Croatian Youth Network (CYN) on European cooperation workshop "How to establish a UN Youth Delegate Programme" regarding their cooperation on the project of the UN Youth Delegate Programme(UNYD).

Further to a public call for application to the UN Academy educational programme, the Selection Committee has reached a decision with regards to the third generation of UN Academy students.

The Croatian United Nations Association (CUNA) is opening a call for applications for participants of the educational programme 'UN Academy 2012'. The programme is being organised in cooperation with the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia and with the support of the Embassy of the United States of America to the Republic of Croatia.
